One question we get asked often is how much you charge for an installation?
This is a question where the answer is unique for every customer. But why is it unique? Surely you should give a fair price across the board to install all electric vehicle charge points? The simple answer is every electric vehicle charge point installation is different, and many variables can affect the cost and time it takes to install your electric charge point.
Factors that can affect the cost of your installation.
The cable run.
Some properties may only require a short cable run of say 3m, which means that the cost of the cable will be minimal. Another property, for example, might have a 40m cable run which will cost more on materials and labour. An additional factor to consider with the cable run is where you want the cable laid. For example, last week, we had a job in Liverpool that took four days to complete as it required three charge points, had a 36m cable run, and the customer didn’t want any cable showing. The best option for this property was to complete a groundwork phase which allowed us to hide all cables from sight. (It is now finished and looks better than when we started! You may need to have the correct type of RCD fitted to protect against DC leakage. In this case, a new RCD will be required before any installation can take place. For example, a home we worked on in Cheshire yesterday required their AC RCD upgrading, which incurred an additional expense.
As mentioned in the previous two paragraphs, materials can impact the cost of your installation. Fear not though, as over 70% of our customers in Liverpool, Manchester, and Cheshire will require an installation with minimum materials. An example of a project we completed for a customer in January was a 5m cable length; the cable was clipped direct to the wall and only cost £300 in total for the entire installation.
The number of days we need to work on your property will also have an effect on the cost of your installation. Thankfully, the vast majority of our jobs are completed within a day, making the installation cost effortless and cost-effective for the customer.
What we quote is what we charge.
Our promise is to charge you what we quote you. We have heard many stories of installers (not just electric vehicle charge point, but many trades) who quote one price and charge another. At Bibby Energy Solutions, our goal is to make your installation effortless and accurate. What helps Bibby Energy stand out in this area is our site survey. We conduct a complete site survey on your property and agree with you, the customer, exactly what you want and what is needed to complete the job with excellence and efficiency.
So why are our customers across Liverpool, Manchester, Cheshire, and Lancashire so happy us?
It is because from start to finish, our process is simple and everything we do is with your goal in mind. The site survey we conduct allows us to get a real feel for your home or business and accurately assess what is needed to ensure you have no hidden costs. To do this, Bibby Energy Solutions has a 4 step process all customers will go through to begin your journey with us.
The 4-step process
Call us on 0151 515 1239, and a member of our team will be happy to discuss your charge point & installation requirements and arrange a site survey.
One of our engineers will conduct a site survey on your property; this should take between 15 and 20 minutes maximum.
We then take payment for your charger and installation and arrange an installation date.
Our engineer will arrive at your property on the agreed date and time to carry out your installation. He or she will then test your new charger and leave your property as they found it.
Areas we cover.
We pride ourselves on directly employing all our staff and do not use subcontractors to install. We do this to manage quality and ensure that the service we provide is second to none. Our standard service is offered to customers in Liverpool, Cheshire, Manchester, and Lancashire.
We often install in areas outside of Liverpool, Cheshire, Manchester, and Lancashire but these areas may include additional charges to cover travel expenses.
